This Years New Procession Route

 

A warm welcome to you all on this 2008 carnival. Red tape is indeed changing the styles and types of Carnivals, what with risk assessments and the high cost of insurance. However, the purpose of the Carnival never changes, that is to have lots of fun and also raise money for our local charities and deserving groups. After last year's Carnival, with the bad weather being the main factor, lets hope that this year the sun shines and we can raise lots of money, as unfortunately we were unable to give any donations to local charities and groups last year. I would once again like to thank my committee for all their hard work and help, as without them there wouldn't be a Carnival. Also I would like to say thank you to local businesses and individual people who have given a donation and have pledged their support.Gates open from 11am Bank Holiday Monday at the Fuzzy Bit, just off Crane Drive . The procession starts at 12noon. Leaving the field following the new route which is printed here in the programme. Thank you to the Dorset Heavy Horse Centre for the carriage, pic-a-lily flower shop for the flowers and Brenda Slade for making the dresses. Thank you everyone. Have an enjoyable day. Have fun
